You need to drink absinthe, smoke opium and create great works of art! Speaking of which, hows the drug market down there? If I come down to visit and climb, will I be able to get my hands on some horse tranquilizers pretty easily? Probably yes, but I wouldn't be involved with anything like that. I don't know what the drug market is like in the US (i.e. - I've never bought and I've never been involved in any kind of transaction or in proximity to one that I knew of), but I imagine that it's not that violent. You just don't want to get involved with the folks here. Well damn. I just found a hair in my Pad Thai. At least I saw it before I ate it. You have probably cut yourself on rock that dozens of other guys have sweated/bled on, but you are worried about hairs in your noodles?

You need to drink absinthe, smoke opium and create great works of art! I want nothing to do with that party. I'm so glad that Curitiba is dead quite over Carnival. I'd go to Rio with folks if I were single, but I'd see it as a one-time thing. This kind of big party isn't for me. That and the samba parades are a lot more boring than they look in those quick blips on TV. And I hate crowds. Maybe I'd go to the beach some day, but since the lady is in spain still, I'd rather just be productive. Even then, I'd rather hang out with her here when it's quiet than at the beach with a gazillion drunks on the road. I'd rather go to the beach when there's no one there. Kinda like hitting the 'Gunks on a wed in sept. I hate crowds too.

We were asked what we'd do in our own country and what we'd do in Brasil. Almost everyone said that they'd return it in their own country (via the police). almost everyone also said that they wouldn't here, because the police would probably just take it for themselves. The best point, though, that everyone agreed with was that in all likelihood no one would even know the money was in the bag, because no one would dare to look out of the fear of not knowing who was watching, and not knowing when that purpose would sneak up on you and shoot you in the head to get the bag back. purpose = person Fascinating
