More like 98.7%, and chances are good that there would be no one else there. The locals are kinda skittish about having ice-loosened granite blocks the size of VW engines raining down around them. Cowards. I will add that the friction up here now is killer good. After a 4 month break from all contact with rock, my second climb du jour was a .10a/b slab that only felt like a 9+. I would even have jumped on my unfinished .11d proj if the key footholds weren't soaked in snowmelt. Now to get some snow-munching rain storms, like we're anticipating on the morrow, to rid the last vestiges of snow so I can log some serious mileage prior to leaving. My lead head didn't seem to suffer too badly after the winter break. Too much content Should I resubmit this post as a graphic novel? Something with drawings and quotes in balloon bubbles?

One inch of glorious, snow-eating rain predicted for today; local flood watch in effect until tomorrow morning. The sooner the white stuff is all gone the better, I need to get on some dry rock.

Been raining like the dickens here. (anyone know where that expression came from? Does it rain a lot in one of his novels? Is it even spelled like that?) Hot and sunny all day, pouring rain in the afternoon. Dry rock = nada. On the good front, project for grant is fucking hard, but a good session today produced excellent results. If we don't get the grant then we're confident this project will get accepted elsewhere.

Was hoping to get out this weekend, but it looks as if we'll need to put the final touches on the grant application this weekend. Have a friend from Alaska visiting family here this week and she wants to get out or at least to the gym. Not sure I have the time.

Had another apointment for the kiddo today. This was to meet with the Autism services team at the local children's hospital... We spent an hour arguing about therapies. So the cliff notes: - I need to take him for an assessment to see if he qualifies for IBI - There is a 3 year waiting list for IBI - As it stands, he's too high functioning to qualify, but I should apply anyway - If he shows ANY improvement between now and 2016, he'll be denied therapy - This therapy is designed for children under 5 - It is highly recommended that I apply despite the fact that its completely futile. - The assessments take 3 appointments of 2 hours each
