I'll be based in KL for a few months (starting Feb 1) but travelling in between (Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia, etc.). I'm looking for climbing partners in KL and Thailand. My dates are flexible. I've got my own rope, draws, etc. (only sport stuff) and feel comfortable leading 5.10c/d. I'm not sure of U.S. grading system as I've only been climbing in South Africa for the past two years. Let me know if you want to climb!

KL has a pretty active scene that frequents Batu Cave. Many people end up climbing after work. Visit there on weekends, meet new people, and you'll have partners in no time.
If you Indonesia time is spent in East Java, let me know, I can show you some local sport climbing areas accessible on short business trips.

Hi Renee,
I'm starting my 1 year climbing trip in Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, ...
I'll most probably be in Malaysia in May. Would you still be there then?
Also after my travel year I'm thinking of moving to Cape town so if you have any information on the climbing scene there, I'd be very grateful.

Hi guangzhou,
As mentioned above I'll be in Indonesia as well. I couldn't find a lot of climbing spots in my research, but you seem to know some? Could I take you on your offer for Renee to show some local climbing areas? :)

Hey renee,
I´m in KL for a weekend (14th-16th March) to make my visarun for Thailand and would rather go climbing then shopping or sightseeing...I´m comfortable with leading 7a (didn´t climbed us -system by now but must be equal to 5.11d) and have sufficient gear for leading single pitches except a rope.

Offer is open to all. Shoot me a PM and we can coordinate some details. Even have a guestroom you can use. You won't be the first climber to crash with us.

Hey Renee,
Its a shame I didn't find this forum earlier. I'm based in KL at the moment and I'm always keen to go climbing but very often I have difficulties finding partners.
Ill be traveling for the rest of the month, but starting April Ill be here full time and very often can make space on Thursdays and/or Fridays.
Let's coordinate something.
