I just moved out here to Lakeview, Oregon. Was wondering if anyone knows about any climbing around this area. Preferably within 30 min driving, but honestly anything remotely nearby would be more ideal than nothing. Thanks :-)

I have never climbed out that way, but have heard there is some climbing out in or near Leslie Gulch, thats all I know. I know there are routes but I don't know where. Potential for FA's too I am sure.
Good Luck

New to this website, clicked on your thread because I grew up in oregon, but not up your way. Go to the routes section, type in Oregon, and you should be able to find tons of routes listed by regions within the state.

CrazyAgain I appreciate you trying to help me, but I would not have posted in the forums if I could easily find routes on this website. There are no posting for routes in my local area. Unsure

I used to live in KF. There is some stuff around lakeview. A guy had a woodie there that I visited once. I recall his name being Jay. That was around 2006. There is definitely climbing, but you'd be developing it. LV isnt the end of the earth, but you can see it from there. Kidding aside. There are few places more wild than E OR. Enjoy your stay. You won't get super fit, but there is adventure to be had. Check Gearhart and the Palisades. There's a gorge around there too. Bolted climbs. Maybe sensitive access. His wife worked at fish and game. If I remember his name I'll PM you. Enjoy your summer!

There are small basalt cliffs everywhere in eastern OR. Go to google maps and turn on photos and terrain. Start clicking on any rock formation and see what's up. For example:

Also look at USGS surveys. A lot of it is going to be crap, but that's part of the adventure
