Hey everyone,

I'm considering going to grad school in NYC and am curious what its like to live there as a climber...

I know there is brooklyn boulders and the MPHC gym (which would be way closer to me)... But...

Is there much bouldering in Central Park (i've heard about a little) How often do people get up to the Gunks, or the Daks? How locked in the city are you really?

Thanks,
Chris

Do you have friends with a car? Do you have a credit card to rent a car?

2 things that will help you get out with much more ease since transit can't go everywhere and walking/cycling takes a while

Trailways buses run to New Paltz rather frequently , and it's not too hard to get a ride out to the cliffs from there.
