But extended forcasts for over 3 weeks out, thats crazy. Crazy

I know it's not accurate, so I'm staying flexible. I may stay in the red if its not horribly wet, or I may hightail it for some beach time in the flattest state in the lower 48

FL?

Thats a long drive and I will not come visit you there. I hate that state.

I'll let you in on a secret: pretty much anything I do is for the little guy.

I think he deserves to play on a beach more than sit out a ton of rain :p

I even dedicate this PT to my kid

kid needs to get a job, start pulling his weight, stopping being driven to the four corners of North America. You think he'd make a good smuggler? 'cause I know some people who could use a good smuggler. See, there's a job for him right there. Pays well, too.

Yes for a couple of trips, 2 good week long backpacking trips.
Gorgous alpine area. At the time there was a ranger station to bet your backcountry permits there, can't say if that is still the case, the seki website should have the 411.
Miles of narrow rough dirt roads to get there, but otherwise easily 2wd driveable.

y due ewe axe?

I am planning a 4 day trip Memorial Day weekend. I have awl the logistics set in motion and plans made... except for one thing:

Marmot deterrent.

I've read a few different methods to do this, and since it will be early season they'll be out in force. How'd you do it? I've seen everything from tarping the bottom of your vehicle to surrounding your vehicle in chicken wire, a combination of the two, and even adding coyote urine and mothballs. Leaving your hood open is another method too...

Just looking for opinions/what people did.

I've seen that too, but I've also read that they are ineffective against a smart Marmot. Sort of the same thing with chicken wire. I was thinking of a hybrid. Staking down the chicken wire, really well, and then tying the top tight while at the same time adding over-the-car support to keep the fat ones from pulling the chicken wire down.

Climbing was good. Arm held up way better than expected. It's a little tender but thats all.

Mostly sport wanking. Onsighted/flashed some .10's, and failed all over two different .11c's

Hightlight of the trip was an attempted onsight of Fairtracer at Kaymoor. Possibly the best .10d (*cough* .11a *cough* atleast) gear line I've ever been on. It has three destinct cruxes, one harder than the next and theres no real rest between the second two. Took some pretty decent falls on a grey master cam. I definitely had fun on that one.
