Hey all, me and a buddy are coming out to the Gunks next summer to climb, but we were also trying to find a place to bungee jump near by (not off a crane). I've tried researching it, but no luck. Does anyone know of any bungee jumping places in NY?

You'll have to travel a fair bit from the Gunks (think in terms of hours).

What about caving? I've seen a few places online, but do you have any expierence hiring a guide that will take newbies to caves that don't have wired lights, sidwalks, and railings (not looking for the family tourist type caves if you know what I mean, but at the same time, I've never done it before)?

I know of no legal guided wild caving operations in the northeast. The nearest wild caves to the Gunks are over two hrs away (and they're of the nature where you better know your shit). Dude, you're going to the Gunks fer chrissakes! Just climb, eat well, drink good.

Lol, very sound advice. I don't get to take vacations very often, so I try to cram as much adventure in as possible.

Yeah, sometimes I try to cram too much into my vacation and forget I took a vacation to get away from a hectic schedule. But bungee jumping is always on the list whenever and wherever I can. <a href="http://www.freemanxexperience.co.nz/land-adventure-tours/bungy-jump-swings/">Bungy Jump</a> across Australia & New Zealand with <a href="http://www.freemanxexperience.com.au/land-adventure-tours/bungee-jump-swings/">FreemanX Bungee</a>

You're a year late and on the wrong continent.

We used to have a trapeze school at the gunks...that was fun. There is a great drop zone in Gardiner if you want to sky dive.
