Not sure if there's a better way to get it more pureed or not (with my crappy blender). Not sure if it added much flavour or not. The protien poweder I add is way too sweet so I've been adding lemon juice, but I had to add more lemon juice than usual in today's smoothie. I was told that while spinach is flavourless in smoothies, kale, not so much. I need the iron from the spinach anyway. THe green smoothie is great. We do kale and spinach. We often put in frozen berries or something to sweeten it a bit. Carrots are no match for the vitamix. only yuppies and FoPoMo's can afford the vitamix Believe me, I have been having an identity crisis going from being a total bum to a filthy yuppie. But I bought the vitamix with my Christmas bonus to get loyerettes off my back about getting engageulated really, all it took was a vitamix? incredible, isn't it.

I like it better than the juicer. Juicer is harder to clean and you don't get all the fiber. You get juice though, indtead of the frothy smoothie like concoction. I like the froth and the fiber, so the vitamix was a good choice for us.

went biking this morning around mulholland. made the genius move of slogging my way up the 4 mi, 1300 ft uphill in 80 degree sun, then dropping down the other side for 5 miles of downhill through clouds and about 55-60 degree weather. but more importantly, it was apparently some sort of ferrari drive-around day out there. must have been passed by 4 or 5 separate groups of 10-20 ferraris each. and occasionally, a klown kar! well, the sportier versions of the klown kar, but klown kars nevertheless. I guess being italian is enough to make them feel like they should hang out with the ferraris?

I bet they all pointed fingers at you and laffed, for being the idiot who slogs up the hill in 80F sunny weather. Even the klown kars laffed, I know it! Not much to report from my weak end, other than the fact that i went to the New, I didn't send anything, and I didn't cry. It was the first weekend of truly summer weather in the tropical rainforest. Saturday was hot, humid, and muggy. Sunday rained on and off, but the rock felt decent. It was pretty cool to see a wall of rain coming at you across the lake. I was hanging halfway up the wall in the Colliseum cave, and it seriously felt like a WHOOOSH of pressure change when that wall of rain reached the edge of the rock in the cave. My ears popped. Mosquitoes ate me alive. No-se'ums gave them a fair fight. Biting flies got the remainder. All that is left is my free spirit. Oh, and I met Mr. and Mrs. Edge who were hanging out at jung compound for the weekend. That's awl.

So Nathan and I went to watch the bouldering world cup in Hamilton this weekend. It was okay, but may have actually been better to watch streamin online. It was cool, but we probably wouldn't have gone if we hadn't wanted to support the comp scene.

My bad, i forgot, California's delicate flowers don't like 50F temps. They get a frostbite and wilt.

It was cool, but we probably wouldn't have gone if we hadn't wanted to support the comp scene. The mt games are this weekend, and I've made it to the gym exactly....well, using my chainsaw and painting counts as cross training, right?
