So I'm 15 and I started climbing a year ago. Outside im leading 5-11b and top roping 5-12a. I can boulder hard V5 and V6 outside as well. Im just wondering how, if im good enough, to get sponsored.

Absolutely. Send an e-mail to climb@bdel.com and tell that you boulder V5. You will be sponsored before you know it.

antmen99 wrote: Awesome I though you had to be much better to get sponsored by them I was being sarcastic. I climb V5 and everyone that knows me knows I NEVER boulder unless it is the ONLY option to climb. I would rather run TR laps on some crap slab. If you want a sponsorship you are going to have to be pushing 5.14+ or V14 and above. Sorry. There are lot's of people out there that crank really hard, so the competition is high. You might have more luck getting in doing something less people do, such as climb FA A5s or 5.12 FAs on the Trango Towers. Do something no one else is and you are likely to turn some eyes.

If you are not a troll: We had this question hundreds of times before. Do a search. If the latter, here is a short version, to spare you the difficult search: To get sponsored, you have to climb hard. Which you dont. If you were 5 and not 15, you might stand a chance with those grades, but at your age? Come back when you climb at least 9a. According to various other posters another option could be your body. Do you have great tits and are willing to flaunt them, as much as borderline legally possible at your age? That might be a path you'd want to explore. qwert

Keep working and when you get to the point where sponsorship is possible you won't need to ask the question because you'll already know the answer.

Sponsorship is about selling goods, not about how hard you climb. Companies are looking for good spokespeople that will translate to sales. Unless you are at the upper limits that people have climbed, climbing hard is not enough. Start a blog, document your trips, go to trade shows, kiss some butt, enter climbing competitions, kiss some more butt, and keep improving your climbing.
