An atheist believes that a hospital should be built instead of a church. An atheist believes that deed must be done instead of prayer. An atheist strives for involvement in life and not escape into death. He wants disease conquered, poverty banished, war eliminated

Any bets on how soon it will be defaced by good, god fearing Christians?

Seriously though, I don't know how I feel about it. I understand the reasoning of the group that is putting it up, along the lines of "we should put something up, if all the religious groups are doing it", but monuments and atheism just don't go well together.

So after trying to get a religious monument torn down, they build an atheist one? Kinda hypocritical no?

You sure they're not catholic?

Well, I would wager very soon, given the many who think they would get easy "God Points" in doing so.

As a atheist I think I know how Gay people felt in the 60's. I really try to avoid the subject as it is hard to argue with people who believe in nothing.
