EDIT: ARRIVING IN YOSEMITE SEPT 8. STILL LOOKING FOR PARTNERS FOR VALLEY OR SIERRAS. Looking for a partner Sept. 3-23 focusing on long rock or alpine rock routes. If the weather looks good, Bugaboos or North Cascades would be nice. If not, I am willing to head to Yosemite/Sierras or Utah or wherever the weather is good. Also willing to make Yosemite/Tuolumne/Sierras plan A. I just want to get on some good climbs in nice places. We'll drive and camp. I expect to lead climbs up to 5.10a, but I'll be seeking out classics of all grades. I'd prefer a partner who can swap leads, but I will consider climbers who follow trad and have taken the time to learn some self rescue skills. Basic snow skills and equipment (cramponing/self arrest/glacier) would also be necessary in the case of North Cascades or Bugaboos. If I can't find someone suitable for the whole 3 weeks then I'll be looking for a partner who can do the first half or so, then another for the second half. Go ahead and PM me if you are interested and can commit to at least a week. In this case, we'd be hoping for good weather in the Cascades. Thanks! John (Seattle-based, climbing for 10+ years).

Isn't September is a good time to get stormed out of the Sierras or Enchantments (let alone the bugs)? Maybe you should consider zion or gunnison?

Thanks for the reply, David. Would be interested but it looks like I've got a couple partners lined up. And even if we come to California, we would show up no earlier than the 5th. Good luck and have fun!
