I got invited to go camping/fishing on the upper end of the Cossatot and am wondering if I should bring a rope. Short, dirty, and obscure/unexplored is fine, but I've never been to that area so I have no idea what kind of potential is there. Anybody who has been down that way care to share some advice?

Thanks

there is a place called earthquake ridge just west of mena that has some bouldering. I hiked around for about hour, climbed some v1s and 2s, but didn't go too far. there is a lot of rock though, so with some exploring, there may be some solid bouldering there. just a thought (directions: go past the earthquake ridge trail parking area up the mountain a bit until you see a place to park on the right side. you will be hiking basically through a rock field)
