Later in the week I am going trad climbing, which I have done many times before in a bike helmet, but I am wondering if I should buy a climbing helmet. Me and my friends are all 16 so when we go climbing we catch a train as close as we can and then ride the rest of the way, generally ~10-25km. I cant bring both helmets, both wouldn't fit, so which should I wear for both, bike helmet or climbing helmet? This may seem like a stupid question but it is a real problem haha.

Not necessarily, if it's one of the new super light weight modern sport climbing helmets (Petzl Meteor, the latest from BD, etc) which is basically a bike helmet with a super-thin plastic skin which only serves to protect the helmet from dings. They both shatter on impact which is what saves your skull. The OP doesn't specify what kind of helmet he has.
