Heading to Atlanta area from upstate NY in a week. We are looking to do some bouldering while in the area. However, we do not have a pad to take on the airplane. I was wondering if there are places in Atlanta to either buy a bouldering pad (a place that would be willing to ship it up to NY from Ga after we use it for a couple days) or, whether there is anywhere to rent a pad for a day or two. Any information on rentals/shops for climbing equipment would be great!! Also, information on sweet bouldering spots would be cool, as well!

I'm not sure about rentals on a crash pad. But, you can try Wall Crawlers climbing gym. I know they rent shoes for outdoor use. I rented some shoes for my wife there. Worth a shot. And, for bouldering, we have Boatrock which is the closest boulders located about 15-20 min outside Atlanta. Very textured, high friction, granite slabby stuff. Or if you want the good good, travel 2 hours north to Rocktown.
