http://bozemanicefestival.com/ I don't know if champ has climbed yet. He did pretty well on this morning's route, but this afternoon's route is a bit tougher. I may send out a textbomb if he makes the finals.

weke end report: got doc's text around 5:30 PM on Sunday upon entering the pizza place in jtree. Obviously did not catch the livestream, apparently the champ finished seventh. Big nice group meetup this weekend. Drove out saturday morning with teh gf, teh brit, and teh 2x asiant. Started at the Hot Tub, did a couple rowts, left up TRs for nice group, and moved on to Steve Canyon. First, fired teh Diamondback -- cool variation on Sidewinder, interesting moves pulling teh roof. Attempted to TR Invisible Touch ... CI, that shit is still as impossible as ever. Then got on teh Jumping Jack Carck. Had previously followed failures by CI and AB, figured I ought to sack up and lead it. Chimney is still way cruiser, shit was going well, got teh 0.4 in a good spot above the lip (not in the way of the 1 gud fingerlock, and was moving up well. Was almost into the proper hand jams (I'd made 5 or so hand movements above the lip), but nothing was good, feet were shit, finally I came ripping out of it. FUCK. Was so close to CI shitzing his pantz in rage. Big group site shenanigans with many beers and foods were had at night, gud times. The double asiant slept in a portaledge 1 ft. off the ground, since she and hamik were practicing setting it up so they can do the mescalito next weke. Next day, got a late start, went to the outside of echo cove. Went up Axe of Dog, that was casual. The rap anchors allowed for a TR of Fear of God and Fear of Dogs. Fear of God was way hard, but I was able to figure out the moves. Super-desperate cranking on miniature bullshit. Fear of Dogs is a cool route, definitely worth going back and leading. Lastly, did Sicker than Jezouin. What a fucking snadbag. Not quite as hard as Invisible Touch for teh grade, but pretty fucking difficult. And scary. Crash pad or stick clip recommended, the moves getting to bolt 1 are not easy. Crux at the bolt took 5 or 6 attempts to get, very low percentage. Then you get to a horizontal break, and it looked like there wasn't going to be any gear. Was considering downclimbing 1 move, dropping onto the bolt, and saying fuck it. But tried a #1 in one of the jugs, it was actual solid (if shallow). Made the moves to stand up and get bolt 2 clipped, finished off the route, no intention of going back to redpoint.

Getting caught up at work after being off for 10 days. Only 2 more days after today and I'm off for another week. I've started telling people that I've just taken December off.
