Was it just me, or was the site down for a while this morning? I got error messages every time I tried to connect for a while.

We had an outage overnight last week.

Kristen was working on setting up version control on the code, and accidentally removed some files. Basically there's a lot of random files on the server--over 50% of the files are from various manual backups people did back in the day, and those shouldn't be included in the repo.

A couple of those files were accidentally committed to the repo and then when she removed them from the repo history, she forgot an extra flag in the command line argument and deleted several additional files.

Anyway, we didn't realize until the following morning. She restored them from a backup and we were good to go again.

I'm sure there will be more site hiccups from time to time as we work on tech stuff.
