Hi, guys!

I am planning to go DWSing in Mallorca but have not figured out where it is possible to camp. Does anyone know where I can find camping places in Mallorca? Are there any in Cala Barques?

Loads of people camp near Cala Barques but it is not legal. I also doubt the police will bust you for it - but apparently (see link below) it happens and the fines are non-trivial. You'll be hanging with a bunch of nudist hippies - they seemed cool as long as you're ok with the occasional wang or vag you weren't expecting on the beach.

Please don't be an asshat like loads of the people who stay there. Pack out your TP and even better your shit as well. I realize at this point it's pretty much academic due to the shear amount of TP lying around Cala Barques but frankly it's disgusting and pathetic.

This link here is a pretty good overview: http://www.rockandride-mallorca.com/...er-soloing-mallorca/

FYI - when you're looking for camping in Europe search for 'Wild Camping'. It's so tame over here that they say any time you camp outside of a campsite it's 'WILD' even if you are in sight of a pub. Unsure

The venue where I got married (near San Servera which is close to most of the eastern DWS venues) did mention that people could camp on his land. Don't know the costs or if it was only available to me because we got married there. I can put you in touch if you're interested.

What about hitchhiking? Is it legal in Mallorca?

Don't know about hitchhiking at all. Didn't see any hitchhikers. However you can rent cars for 7-8 per day. Not really worth hitchhiking at that price. If you rent be sure to use a UK IP anonymizer[1] to make the request or the quoted prices will be higher. Run a google search for "Car rental mallorca".

You might want to look at this[2] for some other accomidation options. I'll contact the venue myself to see if it was just for my potential guests or for anybody.

Something I am reminded of every time I book a rental in the states... Pirate
