Okay so it is SPRINGTIME in the wonderous land of NORTHERN HEMISPHERE and I really don't want this historically proud website forum to die so I will make the archtypical spring "what rock climbing goals do you have for 2k15" This is a safe-to-spray zone so feel free to drop in the sickgnar grades of your proj that is totally lyke 4realz going down this season (totes!!) My goals this year are to climb as many of the ultraclassic routes in Scotland as I can (I have actually done pitifully few 4-stars) and to earn my first ever paycheck for doing stuff in the mountains - and to see if I really can make it my sole source of income and still afford disturbing amounts of nesquik. On my "to-do" list are stuff like Ardverikie Wall (HSevere, 620'), The Cioch Nose on Sgurr a'Chaorachain (VDiff, 650') and Mitre Ridge on Beinn A'Bhuird (HSevere 720'). Big, historically relevant, high quality but very easy routes (IE pure fast moving fun no epicing etc.). I think 2k15 is good year )) And you?? ))) Edit to add: No I cannot pronounce any of the hills named in this post.

I gotta go to Rio at some point for my wife's residency interview, and we have some friends there. In fact, one of my students here is the grandson of a guy who did a lot of the FAs in Rio (the city) and Rio (the state), so that could be on the goal. I'd also like to get back to Spain this year, too, but that seems a stretch. But we'll see. More realistically, I'm hoping for a couple of weekends at flailing at Rumney and NoCo. No specific routes. Too out of shape.

Likewise, to get back on any rock, even the plasticy bits. Almost three years away from climbing; my endurance is toast, my technique toastier. Why did I bother graduating college again?
