As much fun as it is to be just as stupid as a mule deer, there is no longer any need or excuse to crap at the base of Pine Cone Dome or most any other roadside wall of Elevenmile, for that matter.
The bathrooms at all of the picnic areas have been open all winter, as have the toilets in Cove Campground, Springer Gulch, Messenger Picnic Area, Elevenmile Picnic Area, and O'Brien Picnic Area.
So let's all take a minute to decide that we are smarter than WWF fans, that we need not re-enact a scene from Duck Dynasty, and that we can all stop leaving human waste, which none of us seem capable of burying, at the base of the cliff and behind boulders within sight of a functioning toilet.
