This is an expansion to one of my other posts. My school may be looking to climb at the gorge next March, and I'm wondering what the weather is like around mid to late March. Is it worth the trip that time of year?
Thanks,

Matt

PS Also I posted a forum with the same exact question except under New River Gorge, so if you know anything about that, feel free to respond there.

We did RRG last year for spring break in March, the climbing was good, but cold in the mornings. I thought it was great, but some of the people who I climbed with were panzies and didn't like the cold. Once your core body temp warms up, you'll be in the tall cotten, though watch for run-off from snow melts. I'm doing the New this weekend, we did it two weekends ago and it was 35, and def climbable. If you would like more info on RRG and NRG, especially NRG as I go there ever weekend, feel free to email me at dbrayack@hotmail.com
