I just heard a French joke I thought I would pass along just because I think it is funny.

Q: How many Frenchmen does it take to defend Paris?

A: No one knows, it has never been tried.

Hey now, it's not their fault that the Maginot Line didn't work vs. the blitzkrieg....it was an unprecedented method of fighting they weren't expecting.

2 possibilities :
- unkillfile roark to see the meaning of this topic.
- just keeping on ignoring this stupid tard teenager crusader who pollutes a climbing site (do we climbers go talk of cracks, spits, cams, slacklines in a christian and army oriented forum? NO!).
So I'm still ignoring this guy.

sorry.

but as it seems to be allusive to the Maginot Line (a famous climbing route in verdon, too...), let's say something. This line of buried strongholds and lobbies was built after WW1 on the german-french border, not on the belgian-french one because of the oppsoition of neutral Belgium. And as you know, Germany forces invaded Belgium and Luxembourg before invading France on may 10th of 1940... So the story of the useless Maginot Line.

Thomas,

Don't worry. He's only 18 or 19. He doesn't know much yet.

It would be better if it were:

Whats the best place to hide your money ? A: under the soap of a frenchman.

Why did the French plant trees along the Champs Eleeses?

So the Germans could march in the shade.

The Onion's view on this topic. Lower left hand coner. It's a PDF; you'll need Adobe Acrobat Reader (http://www.adobe.com).

All in fun, of course.
