Hi, I'm visiting the south the week of feb 16th. Since this horrid rain doesn't seem to want to stop, I've gone to AL. I've stumbled across, Little river canyon and from I've been told to limit access, there's no guide book...? So I need: a) beta, or b) the underground guide book that any real climber knows exists somewhere. I know its probably scribbled on the back of napkins and beer coasters, but I need what ever I can get. tue and wen. look to be good days and I'm hopping to get some climbing in. So I'm looking for any thing between 10 and 12b. Thanks everyone Josh

I live in Birmingham and have been there several times. It's kinda tough to tell you the beta since I just kind of know the place without landmarks. (with 20+ miles of rock gorge the task of finding GOOD stuff can be daunting) Many consider the place a pile and truth be told HP40 is the better place to climb/boulder. The best I can tell you is to start at the falls (?176)and drive a ways to the south. You will see a broken sign on the left with a pulloff. Lots of stuff down the cliff and to the right. (the concave?) Keep on driving a few miles and near mile marker ?23 you will see a well worn spot on the left (cliff side). Park and go down and right to Lizard wall. These are the worst dir. EVER! Call Alabama Outdoors or Urban Outpost in Birmingham for more info. or page me 205-805-2304
