Tried to post in regional discussions, wouldn't work...

My parents are treating my sister and me to a trip out to Cali for our spring break and the itinerary includes a day in Yosemite...one day, that's it. One day to run around the park. I'm bringing my bouldering stuff with me and am trying to figure out what areas I should hit up. Just looking for moderate stuff (V0-V6 or so) of high quality within about a mile walk or so of notable roads, parking lots, etc (we've yet to figure out exactly where we're going to be, most likely the Valley itself). Anybody have any suggestions for areas to get to?

Brian,

I think Daisy's post is good, but you may want to focus on the Camp 4 part, rather than Toulumne--for Spring break. the road to Toulumne is usually not open until Memorial Day or so.

So, get a guide to bouldering in yosemite (there are several available including those on-line) and focus on the Camp 4 area. There is plenty to keep you busy for a day of bouldering.

What I would do is walk around and climb everything that looks inviting, no other way to do it. Period.

Probably because you get more from your short climbs. As long as you do many.

Well, I know which stone I would be on if I only had 24 hours in Yosemite......

Camp4 is really good...... Also, check out the Sentinel boulders.

Have fun, Ammon
