Hey, this is Brian and I am in Raleigh too. I am not sure how obvious of a post this is but I didn't see any other posts. There isn't any climbing, other than indoor, anywhere near Raleigh. The closest place is Pilot Mtn above Winston-Salem which is about 2 hours from here. Crowders Mtn, near Charlotte is about 3, Linville Gorge which hosts Tablerock, Shortoff, and a couple others is 4 hours. If you are looking for a day trip Pilot is the place, Linville is a good couple of days trip and Crowders is not a bad overnighter. There are more, but I tend to be satisfied with these. Raleigh is great for being midway between the beach and mountains, but it sucks for immediate convenience. Let me know if you have any questions.
