I'll be out in Concord, Mass. this June due to business. What I need to know is, where the heck do I go climbing? Chances are I'll be bringing out my bouldering pad and sport rack (there's no way I'm bringing out the trad rack due to space, weight, and time) while I'm there.. but, where do I go? More specifically, I'll be looking to boulder or go to a gym during the week, and possibly make a few sport crag trips during the weekends. Already decided to hit up Rumney. Any place else? Seriously guys and gals, any help on this would be greatly apprecaited. If I don't get to climb while I'm out there, I seriously think I'll lose it. And hey, if anyone wants to be a "guide" while I'm out there, or just hang out, that's cool as well..

Oh dude, you have SO come to the right place :-) keep tabs on the MASS CLIMBERS II thread, and feel free to PM any of us from that thread. check out the routes DB as well. there's LOTS to climb here. Since you'll be in concord, you'll be within a half hour of Quincy Quarries, & College Rock, and just down rte 128/95 from Boston Rock Gym. I'm just barely scratching the surface here.

In reply to: Already decided to hit up Rumney. You already know where to go. There are cool local crags to check out, but at 2 hrs away, Rumney is your best bet. If you sport climb, go to Rumney. To get a partner, rehash this thread or jump on the Mass Climbers part II thread (as rob mentioned) closer to the date and you'll be all set. If I'm available I'll go, but like others (I'm guessing) it's a little to far in advance to commit. see ya in a couple months.

Come summer I'd be up for some bouldering and short climbs at Hammond Pond after work durring the week. Crow Hill is also a nice area to hit on the weekends for some top roping and a few trad leads (a bunch of us have racks you can use if you come out with us). Definitly keep in touch as June nears. TD

To everyone.. thanks a lot for the help. It's really appreciated.. and will definitely be used. I'll also give a little shout before I'm on my way out there in order to hook-up with some of you. I seriously can't wait.. :D
