Finally. My climbing partner and I will be getting a house in N. Chatty the beginning of June, and I/we will probably want to hook up with some other folks. I especially like N.C. in the summers, but also we'll visit Sunset as our primary local summer crag...before 1pm. I already know a lot of people in the area, but new partners are always a plus (I live in Rome, Ga. at the moment).

I been sittin here tryin to think of somethin clever to say for 10 minutes, but all I got is a blank. You guys will never get up before 10 so you'll have about 30 minutes to climb before it gets hot at sunset LOL.

dirtyeye (hahaha), that "other" guy is the one who can't wake up. Now, just because you are clanging pots at 6am while we yell at you doesn't mean we can't get up! Jeremy, I think you should re-register as "orangecamalot" now that you are quite the trad enthusiast. And yes, you can visit as long as you bring less than 50 Canadians :P Oh, and I'm willing to bet that calender is the worse for "wear" at this point. I haven't seen it for a while!

The great thing about camping with you, dirtyoldeye, is that more than a year later I can look back and still get a laugh. Besides, you only wake up just a FEW minutes before I'm ready. But you know me, I must sit and drink coffee and herbs for an hour after that! Kev, I'm hoping to get a big enough place to house folks from time to time, but finances may keep me from it. However, Kirk Brode has made some comments about starting a hostel. It's an idea whose time has come. Maybe we need to encourage him more.

Sunset isn't really all that hot. I try to never wake up before noon and I still get a lot of climbing in a day at Sunset. T-Wall, on the other hand, is impossible during the summer. There is a ton of climbing in the 'nooga. You could climb everyday for years in the area and never get everything. And it is so easy to find someone to climb with. Check out seclimbers.org if you ever want to find some climbing partners.

tradpuppy AKA twall tommy has been checking out seclimbers in all its incarnations since the inception, back when this site had all of 10 members. We used to get up and hit T-Wall at 6am and climb till about 11am in the summer. It's about the only way to do it that time of year.
