hi im trying to find a boulder guide for the gower in south wales but there aint nne so im thinkng about making my own but how do you decide what grade to give and what do you think i should look for

compare problems from different areas and choice 1 grading system and stick to it

Ya you will need to compare stuff with other routes that you have climbed. Also ask people what they think different routes are. I think the only way to get good ratings is ask a ton of different people and then go with the average.

THis is just my opinion, but i think that you should get some more experience and actually learn how to grade before you go making a bouldering guide. Guidebook authors are always peopole who have been climbing for years, and have comprehensive knowledge of the area. They also know about the local scene and can describe different routes off the back of their hand.

Of course i am stating all of this, ignorant to what your plans are for whatever book you are making.
