I'm planning a trip to N. Carolina for fishing. I'll be near the Winston Salem?Greensboro area. Can anyone give me some info on crags near theer???

Oh, dude. You're in the heart of it all. Stone mountain, and Linville Gorge to the north. Big Green, Whitesides, Looking Glass Rock to the south. Rumbling Bald, Moores Wall to the east. They are all incredibly classic areas, and worth a visit. Why don't you grab the guidebook "Selected Climbs in North Carolina". Give it a read, and see what tickles you fancy. OH, and your Shoe guy in your signature died. Bummer. Travis

Moore's Wall is the closest to your stay, and it has really nice climbing. From Winston-Salem it is a short 40 minute drive to the crag. Western NC has many options for different styles of climbing. I live in the area, so PM me if you want more detailed info.
