I'm going to the Gorge in late June. I don't have a climbing partner since I'm just going there for vacation for a week. I've looked online and have had a bit of trouble finding any guides that serve the gorge. If you know of any please let me know, and if you have their URL thats even better. Thanks, Matt :)

Hey Matt, log onto Redriverclimbing.com. There was a recent thread asking the same question you did and it gave some names and phone numbers, etc. Matt

You might want to consider The New as an alternate. At least in NRG you sometimes get a breeze and Summersville Lake is a lake.

If you're looking for a guide book , Miguel's is the place. If it's a guide service you are looking for make sure they are registered with the Forest Service or they maybe escorted out of the Gorge, leaving you hanging on your rope! Guide Services working in the Daniel Boone National Forest without being duely registered are in violation of F.S. regulations and threaten our privilege to climb there! This will not be tolerated- B. B. Mtn. Club!

Being guided at a Spurt Climbing area is the equivalent of paying someone to go to a hooker so that you can watch. Just head down to Miguel's and within minutes you'll find someone to climb with. Or head up to places such as Roadside or Military Wall, find some people, be friendly (unlike this post, which is not a great example of warming up to the natives.....), and you'll find plenty of peeps willing to give you a catch.... Don't waste $$$ on a guide.... ..and this is coming from a Guide!

When are you going down? My friends and I might be going down at the end of June also. We climb 8's, 9's, 10's, and some 11's (sport). You're more than welcome to climb with us if you're down there the same time we are. Eric
