What do you do to get that nasty foot smell out of your climbing shoes???

I have a product that I purchased at a bulk soap shop that mixes 1:100 with water. It kills fungus and eats odors.. I use it about every 2 months and it works great I can't remember the name it is a clear environmentally friently liquid stuff.
I also use Odor-Eaters baking soda in my shoes about every 2 weeks.

I put chalk on my feet, it helps obsorb some of the sweat.

My shoes don't stink either, but I've smelled some pretty rank shoes So, I know what you mean. As for getting rid of it, , I don't know if it is possible.
Microwave? Wouldn't that melt or deform the rubber?

Dr Scholls odor destroyer !!!! That's what works for me. Put that powder in an you'll start to smell like roses. Another key to keeping the smell away is to let your shoes dry in the open. Something else that may help is to turn a sports sock inside out and stuff it in your shoes, this will draw the moisture out into the sock and out of the shoes, not letting the smell to start.

Put them in a ziplock bag and then in the freezer for a day or two. Will kill the bacteria.
Double bag them just in case they really stink.

Febrez works really good. You can also freeze then, just put them in ziplocks so that all the mositures dont go away.

I defnintely think that the stank is part of climbing, it just wouldnt seem right if my bag didnt smell like my shoes.

put those dryer sheets in your shoes and leave them for a while, nothing really gets rid of it because, its gross but your feet sweat. but it will help.

My shoes are cool it's my motorcycle leathers I had a problem with, I used a product called Lexol, which I got at my local motorcycle dealer, it's a soap made for leather and synthetics. I have used it on my boots and leather gloves also,it helped to wear them until dry (so they didn't shrink like O.J.s gloves) when they were dry they weren't stiff or stinky. Hope this helps.

The freezer technique really does work and as a side note, you know how polypro clothes, (like capilene and such) and nylon watch bands start to take on that "not so fresh" smell, it works wonders on these also.
