I'm starting a group for Tuol. Meadows - have a campsite that will hold 30 pp... so far only have about 10.
it's cooler than the Valley, no crowds, and no mozzies!!!

come and do Fairview Dome, DAFF, Polly, Drug, etc.

I did - in fact, I am putting it out there on several lists... we're up to 12 people - need 18 more.

zowie~!! maybe they only come out in the daytime, but really, it was much cooler up there, and fewer people, and I saw the cutest little bear in the meadow...

Linda, hold a spot for me please. I am going to try and rework my schedule to make it up there for at least part of the time. I will let you know by the end of the week if I can make it. Ben

Talked to ArtM & Jorgle... apparently the walk-in's at Tuolumne may already be full through the weekend. Will post if I hear any good news later today.

I will be up there Doug. Driving up after work on Friday (I get off at 11pm, so assuming I don't pass out at the wheel I should roll in around 4-5am). I will definitely be around Camp 4 Saturday morning. Look for me around site 27 (my friend Storm's site) or in the parking lot hanging with the guys. Wanna climb Royal Arches Saturday?? My boyfriend will be coming down off 8 days on the Captain that day and will likely be too spent to climb this weekend.

If Camp 4 is a total zoo, I'll just crash at the base of New Dawn and party on the ledge there. Hey, if my friends still have their lines fixed up to Lay Lady Ledge we should jug the 6 pitches up with a Hibatchi and have a BBQ above it all!! I kinda prefer sleeping at the base of El Cap over Camp 4 anyway....what a way to go to sleep and wake up with that granite overhead.

OK, the second hand info is that Tuolumne is indeed full. The semi-good news is that there are still some sites at the "in between" campgrounds. Jorgle, Art, Peacebeans, and myself will be seeing you all at the group site tomorrow (Thursday).

Dave - are you up there too? Damn, most of the valley climbers I know are heading over to Tuolomne to escape the heat and you guys are all there too.

Guess that means less lines for me at Royal Arches  !

Love the profile pic Dave...I remember that day well!!
