Hi !!
Do you warm up before climbing? (of course, assuming you are in a place that allows it!!)
If so, what do you do??
Do you warm up doing some easy climb, or, on the other hand, do you prefer to jog a little and do some stretches?

The best warm up is finding a sorta low 5.5 and leading up it then un clip down it.

I like to do a short easy route, something a grade or two below my usual ability and then do some stretches. I've heard that it is better to stretch with warm muscles.

Yep, for me I warm up in the 5.6-5.7 range. Warming up is a great way to start a day of climbing!

i tend to boulder around for a few minutes and stretch my body out on juggy holds. but if i'm planning on a day of leading, i warm-up on a 5-8 or so -just to mentally prepare for added risk/fun/fear/rush of leading instead of bouldering or toproping.

With most of the places I climb, the walk up to the crag is enough warm up for me. Twisting off the top of the water bottle is the final stretch.

If you plan to climb something that is hard for you, you should do 3 or 4 warmup pitches beforehand, starting with something that is easy for you and progressing to a route that is about one number grade easier than the hard route you plan to do.

Like everyone. I stretch a little. It really depends on what kind of route/problem I'm hopping on. Just use your brain.

Definitely!

Do lots quite a lot of stretching and swing the arms around abit, get the shoulders warmed up.

Then I boulder around on really juggy stuff, for quite a few minutes, and slowly stretch out, the I practise some not so big dynos to get focus going and get the ol' ticker going a bit - hee hee
and then...and only then ..I'm ready to climb Dude!

I warm up by doing an easy route or problem and then getting into the harder stuff. I used to strech but I found it doing more harm then good for me.

The hike in, and racking gear is enough warm up for me usually. Then I stretch, and jump on something 2 grades below my max.

  Oooh yeah...
1st I do a super easy route just to warm
the muscles up, then stretch...why?
Because coming back from 2 pulled tendons
and the burning pain of tendonitis in
my right shoulder,is the result of not
warming up .

After having surgery on both of my knees last March, I now spend a few minutes stretching my legs, knees, and ankles for those high-steps and stems.

Spot on Beanny

AT A YOUNG AGE WARMING DOWN IS FAR FAR MORE IMPORTANT THAN WARMING UP!!!!!

But the older u get the more effort needs to be given to warming up.

Happy Climbing
