Just put in for my next "home leave" for the dates of Thursday 8/7 thru Sunday 8/10. Climbing days will be Friday and Saturday. The Needles was fun last time, so where to this time ??? No getting lost this time Art, and Paul, you should have off that anklet by now. PS... I actually got Karen hooked up with "home leave" also, but she can't fly accoring to the OB/GYN. Edited because I put the wrong end date. ~Adam

Suicide sounds like a closer bet and easier for most folks.

that weekend is the start of my road trip with "climbingfree" from this site. we met in josh this summer. I will call her and see if I could maybe start with her on sunday, so I think I could stick around socal for 2 more days. but yeah, TAHQUITZ would be great. I think all would have fun at TAHQUITZ for sure. Please don't go to malibu on saturday if you can help it. you know there is no way in hell I would ever go there (can't climb any of the routes) and I think a weekend in Idyllwild would be great. It is sooooo nice up there. I would even schlep all of Adam's gear (for free - no Guinness required) if you can climb there on saturday. And yes, the anklet is off revealing a nice tan line from working in the desert. And what's up with Karen and the ob/gyn? Is she pregnant? I think I missed something there. TRADitionally yours, Cali Dirtbag

Yes... Karen's prego, there's a thread about it in Community. You can climb some of the routes in Malibu. I've heard you say you will pack my stuff in B4, and I ended up giving your beer away. And if we go anywhere "together"... I'm driving !!! I don't want to end up in an episode of Cops.

I worked at Shearon Harris a couple years ago, and was there for 4 months... Stayed in Cary, and climbed at Moore's Wall and did quite a bit of bouldering at the $40K "faux boulders" at North Cary Park. They were cool, and were built just for bouldering.

In reply to: Suicide on Friday, and Malibu on Saturday. Gotta get you on the steep stuff Matt. I just found out I'll be busy on Friday so I can't make it that day (premiere of CABIN FEVER - WooHoo!), but will do my best to catch up with everyone on Saturday wherever you may be.

In reply to: Suicide on Friday, and Malibu on Saturday. Sounds good. Never been to either of those places, and I have a list of climbs to get on at both. Johnny Can't Lead, Skeezer Pleezer, Sundance, Flower of a High Rank, Valhalla??? (anyone?) Paul, when will you be at the Needles? I'll meet up with you there for sure. Matt

Re: Needles for Matt Dude, you say when you can go, and Michelle and I can be there then. Let me know when is best for you. Re: Driving and schlepping I will already be there. And let's just get the story straight. Last time, Pranaguy and I just wanted to get climbing. We didn't really feel like waiting until 8:30 to START the approach. But if you guys get there Fri night, then we can actually hang out and then get up and climb hard on saturday. And let's get a good start. I like to do my "sendin'" before breakfast. Meaning I will be on the trail with my gear and whoever else's at 6:00am, the time I start work in the desert. So if anyone want's a schlep, let's try to get it there early. Remember, I am training for the Nose, so no matter how many racks I pack up there, I just chalk it up to "training". TRADitionally yours, Cali Dirtbag

Got a call from Paul today, and he got his "antibuse anklet" off... Looks like Malibu on Friday, and Suicide on Saturday so Paul can play. This sound OK to everyone ???

Just got back from another weekend at the Needles (sorry Adam, your slackline has gone awol!) and should be up for Malibu on Friday (morning please, it's getting hot out there!), but not sure about Suicide yet. Depends on how late Friday is for me.

I'm back from Kidville (i.e. summer camp is over and I am FREE) and I really want to get out and climb on some weekdays before I head to Europe... let me know if you guys wouldn't mind me tagging along on Friday. Last time was fun, it'd be cool to climb with you all again. I'm a bit out of shape though... bleh... but I miss the rock! Let me know! Meg
