I'm moving down in a few weeks and I want to know what the best guide to GA climbing would be. also, what is near by in other states? how far is looking glass, t wall, etc. from atlanta? and how far is the tallulah gorge?? i think that's all of my questions for now but if you can provide me with ANY beta about anything having to do with rockclimbing (or otherwise interesting things in the area) please let me know. and if you need a partner, i'm game but will be hard pressed to get out on weekdays...

The best guide would be the Dixie Cragger's Atlas - it covers GA, AL, & TN. Also get the NC Climber's Guide (there are actually a couple of NC guides). As far as how far to where - Talullah is about 1 1/2 hours away from Atl, Looking Glass around 2 1/2, T-Wall - about 2 1/2. Of course, this is all dependent on where in Atl you are actually starting from. Two good websites to check out: www.seclimbers.org www.atlantaclimbingclub.org Welcome to Atl - there are plenty of climbers around here.
