Small gathering... small report. We climbed rocks. We fell off rocks. We drank spirits. It was cool. Then we went home.

heh... no, really. I gots a real, if short TR. Lots of photos to load, too. ------------------------------------ RC.com in Flag The 2003 Flagstaff get-together drew a small but quality crowd. climbsomething, up2top, flagstaff_climber, raindog, kole, jypsyclimber, climbs4fun, fastestgun, and drokods jammed, torqued, and cussed their way to the rim over two days of Forks fun and frolic. http://hillarydavis.com/...mbing/pillowwall.jpg A view of the Pillow Wall, purported to be the "easy" wall at the Forks (!). On the far left is the curving, right-facing Pillow Stuffing (5.7), and on the far right - the line that Ed (up2top) is jugging - is Chlorox (5.8+). The obvious thin dihedral about a third of the way in, on the left, is Davidson's Dihedral (5.11d) Saturday got off to a lazy start for Miss Climbsomething. I slept in... didn't get into the Forks till about 1 p.m. (I would, however, like to point out that Ed was even later!) We were dampened by a couple brief rainshowers, but between sprinkles we were able to sample from several Pillow Wall climbs- Pillow Fight, Geekus Amongst Us, Pillow Case, Davidson's Dihedral, all top-quality climbs that ranged from despo tips to sinker hands to fluid face. Kelly and Jon knew how to live large in Kel's pimpin' Westie, which was a veritable rolling chalet. In the shadow of the shaggin' wagon, we had hunks of meat keepin' warm on the Hibachi, Guinness coating the parched throats, and gossip around the glow of the Tikkas to round out the day. http://hillarydavis.com/.../climbing/westie.jpg Kel's shaggin' wagon! Sunday dawned warm and clear for a day on the beautiful Davidson Wall. Torpedo, Loose Lips, Raindance, and more filled our time before Kel & Co. fired up the Westies etc. and headed home. http://hillarydavis.com/...limbing/jonlips2.jpg Jon (fastestgun) onsighting Loose Lips, 5.10d http://hillarydavis.com/...ng/jonraindance2.jpg Jon on Raindance, 5.10b http://hillarydavis.com/...imbing/rickrose1.jpg Rick (flagstaff_climber) leads Black Rose, 5.8+, in one wet shoe and wet undies Next destination: Queen Creek gathering! All photos taken, and in some instances cruelly scanned, by me :)

Glad somebody finally posted about it. Haven't had time myself. I'll just add that I had a GREAT time and it was good to meet everyone. Kelly (climbs4fun), Jon (fastestgun), and Jeff (raindog) were exceptionally fun. Can't wait to climb with you guys again. It was great to see Rick (flagstaff_climber), Barb (jypsyclimber), and Kole again. Heck, it was just like a regular weekend hanging out with those guys. And Hillary. Of course she just had to show up. Hopefully we'll see many more of you this weekend at the QC! Ed
