Hey everyone...i just got my paycheck and i want to learn how to set up a slack line. Im thinkin that 60 ft of 1 in tubular webbing should do...what else do i need? And how do you tie a slack line? Any information you can give or websites with pics on how to do it would be great...thx a bunch.

60 feet will be plenty. You can then either do it the fun way and design your own tightenning system, or you can use some other system from the net. www.slackline.com has kits, and so do a few others. Good luck man.

For my entire rig, I use:

Three slings of different lengths for use around trees.
Three trees.
One 20ft length of 10mm static line.
One 20ft length of 6mm accessory cord.
Two pulleys.
Two ascenders.
Five carabiners.
And for the beginner, the item that helps the most: a trampoline for a pad.

there is a good tutorial for setting up a line with 3 biners here:
http://dod.xmission.com/...kline/slackline.html

where are you at? find someone near that can show you, way easier that way!
