I've got a partner and a tank of gas. I'm headed up to the Red this weekend. Gotta settle the score with some routes that Kicked my ass last time.

I'll be there on Friday night (probably) in a Black 4runner with Tennessee Tags. I've got a black tent that has "RENTAL" stamped all over it.
Look for the guy walking around with a Natty Light in each hand, a beat up yellow hat worn redneck style, and a general 'glazed over' appearance.
Listen for words like "Jack Ball, horsesh*t, sumbitch, y'all", or the lyrics to any Hank Williams Jr. song. That'll be me.

I won't be there.. but, always willing to help another climber out. If you're interested in partners, or other rc.com people running around, check the midwest pork-chop thread. There are a lot of people mentioned in there planning on meeting up down there.. FYI.

Make sure you guys check out the gear sale which will be Friday night thru Sunday morning (I think). I'll be working the table some and will probably be at Miguel's the whole weekend.

Okay, I just might be full of it here.
It's 50/50 wether I will be at the RRG on Saturday now. Some goof ball named rrradam (who the hell is that?) wants me to climb at Rocktown on Saturday, and I've got to be back at the Obed on Sunday to climb with my little protege's so kentucky is seeming farther and farther of a drive for one day's climbing.
I remember when I used to make plans for climbing on Friday afternoon. What in the hell is up with this new stuff?

I seem to be having a hard time finding details on rocktober fest 2003. What weekend is that running?? Is it just me or is there no info for this event on the rrgcc website? I see details on last year's event......but not for 03.

check out www.thered.org - this is the red river gorge climbing coalition's new website.
rocktoberfest should be a grand ole time. tons of people are going to be there, including me. i don't plan on being able to climb much that weekend, but shannon stuart smith is having a women that climb seminar thing going on that weekend. katie brown is scheduled to be there, too.
i was at the red the past 2 weekends. not too busy, but people tend to pull into miguel's saturdays and vacate the usual areas (military, left flank, roadside).
anyways, have a good time at the red, whoever is going.
climb on all!

Oh yeah, climbing! Where are you climbing on Saturday Fawkes? I gotta tell this partner soon so I can break it to him easy that I'm not going to belay him up the same goddamn climb over and over like the last time I climbed with him. Hahahaha
