okay.
this is pretty dumb...
but I have put up a new route and I am deliberating over a new name.
The concept for the name came becuase the route was put up on a wall covered with sport routes, but this line is trad and is a girdle traverse passing through all the sport routes , but follows a line of pockets/huecos that takes good gear. It is rated 10c, but that has no effect on the name.
At first I thought of "Desperate Measures"...but then these other two options came to mind-
Desperate Pleasures, and Desperate Treasures...so RC crew...
which is more enticing to you? I don't usually ask for help in naming routes..but what the hey...I'll let you guys worry about it.
1. Desperate Measures
2. Desperate Treasures
3. Desperate Pleasures?

If you like trad and it is your "pleasure" I would go with that. Measures doesn't make sense, and is the route desparate?

Now Now, Piano- don't confuse me even more! no new ideas- these are the three to choose from.
Is it desperate? No- I'M DESPERATE! FOR more cracks at my local crag, so I am going TO "Desperate Measures" to discover more trad routes. The Pleasures or Treasures bit is just a play on words as to what a great line I found. NOW VOTE!

I would go with measures.
Or "Desperate measuring for pleasurable treasures."
Or "fck sport routes, trad RULES."

If I had to choose from the bove, I'd choose DP.
I put one up in Arakansas and called it Pull My Finger (5.11a/b). If I ever do an FA again, I'll call it Anus The Menace.

Okay, for the vote-just call it Desperation. One-name routes are cool and just seem more dignified. Then you don't have to worry about measures/pleasures...etc.
