We were using the "Bouldering Guide to Utah" to try to find the Australia Boulder, supposedly 5.2 miles up AF near tidwell reservoir. WE NEVER FOUND IT! After driving very slowly up and down the fork twice the only thing that resembled the description in the guide book was a small meadow with what looked like a pile of very large rocks. So far I can only think of two conclusions: 1) This was the Australia Boulder and it is no more. 2) The guidebook just sucks and I need different beta. Any help? Oh yeah, I guess maybe Aliens sucked the boulder in their saucer -- that's conclusion 3.

Has anyone climbed on the boulder before? Maybe I was looking in the wrong place?

No, the boulder in question was actually abducted by australians! The australian boulder (a.k.a. the martin boulder) is located approx 1.5 miles N. of the turn off for Tibble Fork resrvoir. Look for the martin picnic area and park at the last one on the right(as you go up canyon towards the resrvoir) Cross the road angling north west. Your there! Approx 10 feet from the road, cleverly concealed to look like a boulder surrounded by trees. The good stuff is on the backside.
