I believe Troy Mayr's upcoming book will cover NJC, which was supposed to be out by now. Amazon.com is showing the publication date as August 2004 now. Anybody have a better date on it?

(Note: this refers to New Jack City, CA) Good effin' luck getting the info out of Jack, since so much of it lays (lies?) with him. Maybe it's just speculation, and he can correct me if I am wrong, but I think Jack has long shyed away from a "real" guidebook to the area. For the typical reasons to not publish a guidebook- drawing in the hordes, turning it into a zoo, that kinda thing. The routes DB here is, as far as I know, the most comprehensive, current, and accurate listing of routes. Spike's extensive collection of photos is also top-notch. Til there is a guide (if ever) this IS the guide...

I will get as much knowledge from this site then ;) Thanks to all who have posted the info on the area too. Looks like I will need to do a trip down there for a few days then swing by Vegas and up to Bishop. Will keep an eye on this site about a guide book also.

In reply to: I can help draw the topo's or even put together an online version.... GOOD get cracken' then. Find a crage, draw a topo and put in RC.com. I'm one of a few folks on this site that do exactly that and I'd love to see topos made by others. Good luck, I'll rate any topo you make a 10, and shower you with praise if I get to go out and use it.
