What would you say is the hardest thing or the most difficult thing to deal with as a climber? This could be certain types of people, situations, rock, gyms, whatever really...Let's vent it out here and share...maybe there are others that feel the same and we can find solace in that...Use your mind and speak up...I'm listening...

Actually, nothing. I think the one thing that keeps climbing so interesting for me is all of the unique situations you face everytime you go out. Like the last time I went up to Minnesota climbing, we had to use our first aid training due to some fellow who used poor judgment when climbing. Time before that, our biggest problem was the problem we were working on. I would say that part of the thrill for me is I never know what the challenge will be that day, whether it's some cocky climber or a dog or something as big as enacting first aid training.

"Time".....

More specifically... not enough of it...

There are always a few more routes that I would like to do at the end of the day each time I go climb...and while I suppose "night-climbing" is an option, I choose not to "use" that option.

"Crowds"

This might be next on my list if I felt the need to complain...
But the fact of the matter is; climbing is beautiful and fun and all of the other adjectives used in the other forum to describe it...and who am I to suggest that others not get the same opportunities that I have to enjoy this incredible activity.
(And there are always "secret spots" to go to get away from the crowds)

There's nothing hard to deal with, if you climb. Off course while your climbing there may be difficulties but when it comes to socializing, i love climbing, I meet new friends when ever I go climbing. I've become healthier when I started climbing (not going to movies...)

I balance climbing with my other activities and off course work.

Has to be mental.
If I believe I can climb, most of the time I send the sucker. But if I have any doubt in my mind HANGDOG...
Doubt is the enemy.

Loosing someone you knew to a climbing accident.
I can imagine this being one of the most difficult things one might have to deal with.

Rainy days are hard to deal with. Esspecially on road trips.

Losing someone MUST be the worst,my heart goes out to those who have, mine is the lack of time,I need a nine day week so I can get all my work done and still have time left over to climb.Instead of a weekend,it would be a climbend.
