Im wondering, how do you confirm any redpoint on the rock. Is it enough just by saying that you've done that!!! Eventhough nobody will know unless u have a witness. Yes, you do have the belayer present , but sometimes the belayer cant even see the climber on top and maybe......the climber up there might be say holding to the runner or some branches.......I just wonder.???? Iguess honesty is the main thing here but still theres still those that prefer to nail it first in order to get the first ascent. It sucks big time. Climbing is for your own satisfaction and not others. If you wanna be known ,i guess you might as well be a pop star.......

I just get to know myself better each time i nail a new route.

What passes for honor for me is likely the same as for yourself: When my word is given, it is good.

Never worry about the getting of honor. It grows within you, and speaks to you. All you need do is listen.

You'll know. That's enough. I know several people who love to go on about their latest send (which is most likely fabricated), and many who keep quiet unless you ask (at which point they'll answer modestly and honestly). Personally, I like hanging out with the latter. I guess my point is, if you're constantly talking out your ass about sending stuff you never did, it's only a matter of time before people catch on and shun you. They would probably think you were pretty cool for a while, though. I guess if that fleeting acceptance is worth the price to you, spray on.
