Hello,
I will be in Dubai in March. I am a beginner climber and would like to meet other climbers. Any suggestions? Are there any indoor climbing gyms?

I'll be relocating to Dubai at the end of April. As far as I know there is an indoor wall at the Pharao's club in Dubai. I have not been there so I do not know the quality of it....

Hi Elvis,
are you still in Dubai? I am a climber (obviously) and will be in Dubai from Dec 04 till April 05 (with some breaks). Do you know where I can get some info about climbing? What kind of equipment do I need? Where can I rent stuff? I can lead a 5c - french grade.
Of course, I am also looking for people to climb with.

I though that the country is so flat like a 5 dollar bill.
When there are some sandhills to climb, I am very curious to now what are the possibilitys (not a joke).

Hi all
There is great climbing here in the UAE We ahve loads of trad lines in the north in Ras Al Kahmah and then we have been developing a small sport are in Al ain Buraimi area so afr ther are about 20-30 sport pitches. If you would like to climb sport climbing I go out every weekend and I am always looking for partners

I'm not new to this site but never participate in the discussions. I’m thankful to Rock Climbing website that they offer this kind of opportunity to mountaineers to keep in touch with climbing community. I have started climbing about 26 years ago. Basically, I’m ice climber and have participated in high altitude mountaineering expeditions. I’m looking for climbers to start mountaineering activity in UAE climbing areas.
