Pulling, pushing, tension...all parts of climbing. The best way to work out is to get endurance and strength. Get endurance by aerobic workout. Running, swimming, Tai Bo, whatever makes you sweat alot. This conditions your body to work for long periods of time with less and less tire as you go on. This will help you to keep your stength while on your ascent. Next you need to get more strength. Particularly by lifting weights. Weight training can help you build muscle. Finally a good eating plan and training on the rock or gym will help. Especially training on the rock and gyms.
