Hi all, I'm heading up to Rumney this coming Saturday and was wondering which crags are best in the winter. I lead up to 5.10 so a place like Monsters from the id wouldn't apply to me! Thanks, Matt

I am not an expert in Rumney, and since my guidebook got soaked, and subsequently ruined during my last trip, I'll try to give whatever info I can think of, and have other people agree or disagree with me. This being said, I would probably recommend Bonsai, mostly just because of all the nice 5.9 and 5.10s. The only crag I can remember getting a lot of sun is the Main Cliff, and it has some nice 5.10s (Underdog is awesome) and many more moderate routes (5.7 - 5.8 ). Good luck on the weather, and I hope you can still feel your fingers when you get back.

yeah, there's a picture in the guidebook of climbers on underdog (main cliff) on a cold day. the cliff that gets the most sun is Jimmy Cliff. Junco and Lonesome Dove will be nice climbs for you, and they're typically dry. The long hike up there will warm you up, too.
