Hi Aaron,
I'm going to stay in Tassie till the begin of February and I think I'll "wwoofing" (a kind of job) for a while in a farm next to Coles Bays, one of the best spot in Tassie.

Trust me mate, this is the BEST time of year to be in Tasmania. I can't wait till I return home and hit Taswegian rock!!! Hmmmmm, places to meet people...There is the Tasmanian University Climbing Club (TUCC) which meets at the Hobart Campus Gym on tues and thurs (6.00pm to 9.00pm), but because the weather is so good and uni has finished for the year, they probably won't be there. There is also 'Climbing Edge' indoor gym. There is a notice board where you could try and meet other climbers. If you still have no luck, PM me and I will give you some personal contacts of some funky climbing people.
