I'm brand new and never been climbing. I want to start climbing shortly. I'm considering getting my feet wet at an indoor gym first. I live in North Florida. I'm about an hour away from Gainesville and 1 1/2 hours from Tallahassee. Any climbing gyms in this area?

What do I bring? Do I just walk in, pay and just start climbing? Is training required?

TIA

i would first start with some comfortable clothing...something you can bend in easliy without restricting your movement. They will have everything else at teh gym that you can rent...shoes, harness, caribiner, and calk bag with proably cost about $6-7 for a night, and will proabably cost about $10-12 jsut to climb.

check out the link below. This is our listing and probaly no better place on the net to check for routes and gyms.
