Hey man, You are welcome. I am my own search engine. Have you checked out slackline bros. They have a killer tensioning system. Check out slackline express too. Slackline joe is like some mad scientist.

I think I'll let dustin and areyoumydude explain. There's even a third asking "canned" slacklining questions, so maybe we will have 3 users with the same IP in that thread.

I was reading Not For Climbing's explanation of removing all metal from an anchor in a slackline. Can anyone explain this further? I don't see how the tension can be kept... Maybe I'm just slow... Jimmy

Regaurding NFC's "no metal" question...My guess would be that they are trying to eliminate the metal for a few reasons. 1) If the slackline were to fail, you would have no metal projectiles coming at persons around the line. 2) Some prefer the feel of a slackline withoout the metal hardware, which in some ases can cause vibrations in the line.3) Saves $. HOWEVER... Am I the only one who feels that this idea of running webbing through webbing at a moving anchor point is unsafe? You ever wonder why they sell rap rings for climbers? Same idea. The potential friction created between the two nylons can produce enough heat to cause failure. Fact. Best of luck!

Regarding the no metal question it seems when you read NFC.com they also mention how easily it is to cut webbing under tension that couple with the possibility of launching heavy metal objets about head level if the line was to fail has led me to include a tie down in my setup. simply wrap the tightening system with some webbing and clip it into the anchor. A little redundancy could spare a lot of grief.

Very reminiscent of that obids character....using what seem to be normal "yeehaw, look what I found" posts to get free advertisement hits. No better than Spammers, in my book. Burn!!
