I hear the U of C is going to upgrade there wall. Does anyone know when there going to do this?

I doubt it .. I heard that the ping-pong room was going to be turned into a cave .. but then they decided to do the plastic / concrete bolutering wall instead.
I don't know what they can do to those big concrete slabs in the pit .. that would blow the budget for the next 100 years.

I guess I was wrong .. I overheard the Head of the Outdoor Program Center talking about wall expansion, and how somone was oposed to government money going into a cimbing wall because it would be bad for his business.
From what I heard it sounded like the new multi sport complex that was going to be put in on the soccer fields (that project got postponed) was going to have a new fancy climbing wall. I am not sure what the plan is now ... but the sport complex is still planned to be built, just not on the announced schedule.

ya dude, its an awesome wall. theres the bouldering hall, which has some plastic, would, and a bit of real rock, and the ropin wall, which is all real rock, except one sport plastic wall. its an awesome gym.

The U of C is a great place to learn and to get a feel for climbing. Even though the routes dont change, you can still find everything from simple to hard climbs. Can't wait to go with you Carterslam fan!
