thailand is a really fun place to climb! im sure that you will have a great time there. therea re a couple of good links to climbing there if you look under the thailand routes area on the sight. the climbing around krabi is great, and the bouldering on ko tao is also really fun (take a crash pad!). good luck!

Pretty cheap to eat in Thailand, you could probably get by quite well on $10 US per day
Accomidations vary depending on how rustic you want to go, but $5 to $20 US per night should do you well. Beer is cheap and plentiful and if you are worth half your salt you could probably get on with a climbing company, guide a bit and get hooked up and stay for free. Ko Phi Phi is a lot more fun tan Krabi I found, half way decent climbs there, but Krabi has more

Krabi is pretty incredible. I stayed at the Sand and Sea resort for a few days. If I remember right, a place with 2 double beds and a bathroom - no AC though - was something like $8 a night. A few dishes, a few beers at each meal will cost you no more than $5, absolute tops.
The locals are pretty wild and fun to be around too. Defintely check it out. There's an article on Krabi on 8a.nu if you're curious...
